Just after the Parkdale sign, there is a left turn onto Rd 3 (Copper Gulch Rd). There is a rafting business on the left side of Hwy 50. Facilities include a large pavilion with a full commercial kitchen (microwaves, frig, freezer with some ice) and ample space and tables/chairs for group dining and games. The campground also has restroom facilities which include showers. They have water available, but it is on a well, so RVers should plan on bringing their own. While they have a dump station, they require chemical-free dumping. They do have some cabins for those without tents or RV’s; these include the basics – bed, table, electricity – no bathroom, no bedding. CS is paying for 3 nights, 9/5-8, with departure by 12 Noon. The campground will be available on 9/4 as well, for $10 per unit for that one night. This amount will be collected by our host (I,e, Holly, Ginger, Judi) on-site. While there are no established trails on the Oddfellows property, there are a variety of trails in the area. Also, traditionally, the weekend we will be there is the weekend of the Sons of Italy Italian festival in Canon City. Royal Gorge will be in operation, and there are also restaurants in that area. Pot lucks will be determined at a later date by those who sign up to attend.
